I'm 31 Today

It's 3:33 am. Today is my 31st birthday. So much has happened in this past year, especially these past few months. I was fired from my job and decided I wanted to go back to school--enough of working for corporations who don't care about people. It's time to do something meaningful, I want to give back even a tiny fraction of what I have received in life.

That friendship that I mentioned back in February, it's blossomed into a very full and passionate romance. My new love is a wonderful man in many, many ways. Gerry is creative, intelligent, bright, generous, good, kind, loving and he makes me feel like a beautiful woman. It's what my heart has been craving. Yes we've had our problems, our relationship is not perfect. We both have issues we need to deal with. But every time we come up against hurdles, we face them together and are stronger for it. This is an incredible opportunity for me to grow into the person God wants me to be, into the person I want to be.

I had a premonition a year ago that something spectacular was going to happen in my 30's. Perhaps meeting Gerry is it. I pray that God will guide us both in this. Me so that I can be the type of girlfriend he needs me to be, even from as far away as I am.

I am so grateful for this life You have given me LORD.
